BEST WAY TO WHITEN YOUR NAILS

                                                 Wearing nail polish for longer makes your nail dull and yellow, touching things and dirt can also make your nails appear stained. Avoid wearing nail polish for long time. It can be cause of embarrassing and unsightly.

                                

   But thankfully, there are some fairly simple treatment you can use to whiten your nails......

                                       

  

          Lemon Juice & Baking Soda –   Squeeze half of a lemon (or more) into a plastic bowl, and then add and blend baking soda until you get a nice abrasive paste-like texture. Then use an old toothbrush to scrub your nails with it Rinse, and repeat if needed. If you have any small cuts near your nails, you may want to hold off on this one. The acidity in lemon juice is not very nice!  

         Whitening Toothpaste –   I tried this one first. It’s easy and it works! Use a baby toothbrush to apply it and give your nails a good scrub for a minute or two. You may need to do it several times depending on how stained your nails are. The white coloured pasty toothpaste works best as opposed to the blue or green gel-like toothpaste. Whitening toothpaste with added baking soda is even better!                  

Hydrogen Peroxide

Hydrogen peroxide has whitening properties that work wonders on yellow stained nails. Be sure to use a solution that is only 3 percent hydrogen peroxide.

Pour three to four tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide into one-half cup of water and mix them well. Soak your nails in the solution for two minutes. Using a soft toothbrush, gently scrub your nails. Then rinse them with water. Do this once a week for several months.

For stubborn stains, apply the hydrogen peroxide directly on your nails and lightly scrub them with a soft toothbrush.

Hydrogen peroxide can dehydrate your nails, so apply a moisturizing lotion after using this remedy.

 Tea Tree Oil
If your nails are yellowing due to some kind of fungus-related infection, tea tree oil is the best home remedy to try. Tea tree oil is a natural fungicide and has antiseptic as well as antimicrobial properties that will help fight infection and restore the natural colour of your nails.

Apply pure tea tree oil to your nail beds using an eye dropper. Leave it on for a few minutes, and then rinse it off with lukewarm water, Do this twice daily for several months until you notice improvement.

Mix equal amounts of tea tree oil and olive oil. Apply the solution to your nails using cotton balls, Do this twice daily for several months.
Baking Soda
The bleaching and exfoliating properties of baking soda can help remove stains from the nails.

Mix two and one-half tablespoons of baking soda and one tablespoon of 3 percent hydrogen peroxide in a small bowl. Use cotton swabs to apply the mixture on the stained nails. Leave it on for three to four minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water. Repeat this process every six to eight weeks.

Mix one tablespoon of baking soda, one-half teaspoon of olive oil and one teaspoon of lemon juice to make a thick paste. Rub the mixture on your nails using a soft toothbrush. Leave it on for about five minutes, and then rinse it off with warm water. Repeat this remedy every two weeks.

REMEDIES TO SHRINK THE OPEN PORES

                                  Normally, people with oily skin trend to have more open pores rather than people with dry skin.  Large open pores on the face detract from female facial beauty and make her look older and not real healthy.                                 

 If you want to minimize the hue pore size on your face, so there are several best home remedies to get rid of enlarge pore.


1.     Ice Cubes


It is an instant remedy for open pores that will stimulate blood circulation and give you a healthier skin. Cleanse your face and rub an ice cube twice in a day for about 5-10 seconds. This is a toner that tightens the pores. Alternatively, you can merely wash your face with ice cold water. For more benefits, fill the ice tray with tomato or lemon juice and freeze it. Massage these ice cubes on your face.
Note- People suffering with sinusitis or meningitis should not use this remedy.

2. Honey

Honey is incredibly great for skin, as it has antibacterial, medicinal and healing properties. It contains high amount of potassium that kills those bacteria which clog the pores. On the other hand, yogurt is a good source of lactic acid that exfoliates your skin and cleanses the pores. Make a combo of yogurt and honey, and apply it on the pores. After a few minutes, rinse it with water.


3.Egg Whites

Egg whites dramatically tone your skin and temporarily shrink your pores, according to Stephanie Tourles in her book “Organic Body Care Recipes.” Combine the white of a small, cold egg with 1 tsp. cornstarch in a mixing bowl, and beat with a wire whisk or fork until it's frothy. The mixture should not be lumpy. Apply a thin, even layer to your face, and lie down on your back for about 20 minutes, or until the mixture dries completely. Rinse with warm water, and repeat once or twice weekly as needed.

4. Sugar and Olive Oil Scrub
Take 2 tablespoon of sugar; add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and a few drops of lemon juice. Mix all the ingredients and gently rub on your face for 20 to 30 seconds. Clean it with cool water. For better results, use this remedy once in a week.

5. Baking Soda

Baking soda works as an exfoliating agent that removes excess oil and dirt from your skin. Mix 2 tablespoons of baking soda in lukewarm water. Apply the paste on your face and massage in circular motion. Leave it for 5 minutes and rinse it off with cool water.

6. Oatmeal Mask
Tomato is a natural astringent that shrinks the size of pores and removes extra oil from the skin. On the other hand, oatmeal is an excellent exfoliator that cleanses, moisturizes and soothes the skin and sloughs off the excess oil as well. Make a face pack by combining these two, apply it and wash after 30 minutes.

7. Raw Milk

Raw milk can be used as a natural cleanser for the skin. First, clean your face. Apply it on the face with the help of a cotton ball and softly rub over your face. Wait for 15 minutes. Then, wash with fresh and cool water. This remedy cleanses as well as seals the enlarged facial pores.

8. Rose Water- Cucumber Juice

Mix a few drops of rose water in cucumber juice and dab it on your face, and rinse after 15-20 minutes. This will lessen your open pores. Moreover, silica in cucumber improves the skin texture and gives you a fair complexion.

9. Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar has anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties that tightens up the pores and maintains the pH balance of the skin. Take equal proportion of water and apple cider vinegar. Apply this solution by using cotton ball and wait for a few minutes. Rinse it with water. For better results, use it regularly.

10. Yogurt

Applying a thin layer of yogurt on your skin, just for 10 minutes will do wonders. If you have oily skin, prepare a paste of 1 egg white (whisked thoroughly), 2 aspirin tablets (finely powdered) and 1 teaspoon of yogurt. Let it sit for 15-20 minutes. Use cool water to rinse off.

TASTY CARAMEL BROWNIES





Ingredients

1 1/2 cups (3/4 lb.) butter 

3 cups sugar 

5 large eggs 

1 tablespoon vanilla

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking powder

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup unsweetened cocoa

14 ounces (40 to 50) square caramel candies such as Kraft or See's, unwrapped


Preparation


1. In a 3- to 4-quart pan over medium-high heat, melt butter, stirring occasionally, about 4 minutes. Remove from heat.


2. Stir in sugar, then eggs and vanilla, until blended. Stir in salt and baking powder. Add flour and cocoa and stir until batter is smooth.


3. Butter a 12- by 20-inch piece of foil. Line a 9- by 13-inch pan with foil, buttered side up, letting foil hang over pan ends. Scrape batter into pan. Evenly space caramels over batter.


4. Bake brownies in a 325° oven just until a toothpick inserted in the center (not in a caramel) comes out clean, 55 to 60 minutes. Let cool.


5. Lift brownies with foil from pan to a counter. Peel back sides of foil. With a long, hot knife, cut between caramels into 35 squares; occasionally rinse knife in very hot water and wipe clean.

CHETTINAAD FRIED CHICKEN

Ingredients                       Serves

Chicken                            750 Grams
Garlic                               4
Fennel                              1 Tablespoon
Cummin Seeds                1 Teaspoon
Corriander Powder           1 Teaspoon
Chilly Powder                   1 Tablespoon
Pepper                              1 Tablespoon
Lemon Juice                     1 Tablespoon
Yogurt                               1 Tablespoon
Salt
Onion                                1 ½
Tomatos (Chopped)         1
Garlic-Ginger Paset          1 ½
Curry Leaves
Pepper Powder                 1 Tablespoon


Steps


Grind Garlic, Ginger, Fennel, Cumin seeds, Coriander powder, Chilli powder, Pepper, Lemon juice, Yogurt, Turmeric powder, and Salt to the taste, to a paste.


Marinate the chicken with this paste for a couple of hours.


Heat oil in a pan and fry the onions. When the onions are soft add the ginger-garlic paste and then the tomatoes. Fry until the tomatoes are soft and the oil comes out.


To this add the chicken with very little water and cook until done and the water is evaporated.


In another pan heat some oil and fry the red chillies, curry leaves and the sliced onions. When almost done add the pepper powder to the onion and mix it well.


Add the fried onion to the cooked chicken and give it a stir. There you goes; the delicious Chettinaad Chicken Fry is ready!

DARK CIRCLES

                                 It is said  that “Beauty is how you fell inside and its reflects in your EYES” but because of dark circles it also  tell about your health and daily routine
                                  It can affect both men and women, its not a serious skin problem but because of that people look tired, unhealthy and older.
 These are the some easy and homemade remedies which will help you to get rid of dark circles.





1. Tomatoes: Tomatoes are an excellent solution for getting rid of dark circle, as it naturally helps to decrease the dark circles and also makes the skin soft and supple. All you need to do is mix one teaspoon of tomato juice with a teaspoon of lemon juice and apply it under your eyes. Let it remain for about 10 minutes and then, wash it off with water. Repeat this remedy at least twice a day. On a daily basis you can also drink tomato juice mixed with some lemon juice and mint leaves in order to get rid of dark circles.


2. Grated potatoes: Grate some raw potato and extract the juice of the same. Now take a cotton ball and soak it in the potato juice. Close your eyes and place these cotton balls on your eyes. Make sure they cover the entire area of the dark circles under your eyes as well as the eyelids. Leave it on for 10 minutes and wash off with cold water.

3. Cold tea bags: Another simple technique to get rid of the dark circles is using cold tea bags. Soak a tea bag preferably a chamomile or green tea bags in water. Chill it by placing it in the refrigerator for a while. Now, place them over your eyes. Use this remedy on a regular basis to see considerable difference.

4. Cold milk: Regular use of cold milk will also decrease the dark circles and also soothes your eyes and skin. Take a cotton ball and place it in a bowl of cold milk or iced water for a while. Now apply the cotton ball making sure that it covers the entire eye with the affected area. Keep it for a while. Wash it regular water.

5. Orange juice: Another effective home remedy to remove dark circles is orange juice. Mix some orange juice with a few drops of glycerin and apply this mixture over the dark circles. Not only will it diminish the dark circles it will also give a natural glow to your eyes.

6. Rose Water
Rose water has incredible ingredient for skin care. It rejuvenates the skin and has a soothing effect on tired eyes. Due to its mild astringent properties, it also works as a good skin toner.
·        Soak cotton eye pads in pure rose water for a few minutes.
·        Put the soaked pads on your closed eyelids.
·        Leave them on for about 15 minutes.
·        Follow this remedy twice daily for a few weeks.
 

7.  Cucumber
Cucumbers have skin-lightening and mild astringent problem that help fix those raccoon eyes naturally. Plus, they have a soothing and refreshing effect.
 Cut a fresh cucumber into thick slices and chill them in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Put the slices onto the affected skin area for about 10 minutes. Wash the area with water. Repeat twice daily for about a week or more. Another option is to mix cucumber juice with lemon juice in equal amounts. Use a cotton ball to apply the mixture on the affected skin. Leave it on for 15 minutes and then wash it off with water. Follow this remedy daily for at least one week.

VEGETABLE MAKHNI




Ingredients needed

Onion - 2
Tomato -3
Ginger garlic paste - 1 1/2 tsp
Green chilli -1
Cashew nut paste - 2 tbsp
Butter -2 tbsp
Oil - 1/2 tbsp

Vegetables

Carrot -1
French beans -8-9
Cauliflower florets -6-7
Green peas - handful
Potato -1
Green Capsicum - 1

Spice powder

Garam Masala Powder -1 tsp
Red chilli powder- 1/2 -1 tsp
Coriander powder -2 tsp
Turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
Kasuri methi -1/2 tsp
Salt as required

For the seasoning

Jeera/ cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Cloves -2
Cinnamon - 1 inch piece
Cardamom -1

Fresh cream - 2 tbsp for garnishing

Preparation

Wash and put cauliflower in salted boiling water. Remove it after 6-7 minutes.

Blanch tomatoes. (Refer- How to blanch tomatoes if you want to know)

Cut all the vegetable into medium size pieces.

Par boil or steam all the vegetables except capsicum with little salt. Keep it aside.

Boil 1 onion in water for 7-8 minutes. Drain the water and grind it with 1 green chilli.

Soak 6-10 cashew nuts in hot water, drain the water and grind it to a smooth paste.

Method

Heat butter+oil, add jeera seeds, when it splutters, add whole garam masala and toss for a few seconds.

Add finely chopped onion and saute till nice golden brown. This step is very important and you have to stir continuously.

Then add onion paste and ginger garlic paste, saute for few more minutes.

Add cashew nut paste and cook for a few minutes.

Now add tomato puree and all the spice powder mentioned under 'spice powder'.

Cook till the tomatoes leave oil. Then add all the vegetables, chopped capsicum, crushed kasuri methi, salt and needed water. You can add less or more water according to the consistency you need and cook for some more time till everything gets blended well.

Garnish with coriander leaves and fresh cream.

JUNGLEE CHICKEN SANDWICH.......


Ingredients

·         Brown bread
8 slices
·         Chicken boiled and chopped
1 cup
·         Green chutney
2 tablespoons
·         Mayonnaise
2 tablespoons
·         Green chillies chopped
2
·         Onion chopped
1 medium
·         Carrot grated
1 medium
·         Salt
to taste
·         Fresh coriander leaves chopped
2 tablespoons

Method

 

Step 1


Mix mayonnaise and green chutney in a bowl and mix well. Add green chillies and chicken. Mix again.

Step 2


Add onion, carrot, salt and coriander leaves and mix well.

Step 3


Place 4 bread slices on worktop. Spread mayonnaise mixture on them and cover each with one of the remaining slices.

Step 4


Apply 1 tsp mayonnaise on each side of 2 sandwiches and grill them on a hot non stick pan till crisp.

Step 5


Cut remaining 2 sandwiches into triangles and place on serving dish. Cut grilled sandwich into triangles and place on serving dish. Serve immediately.
